Licences and permits

Applicants are strongly urged to complete online applications as the default position.  Many Council staff are working from home and post is not being opened as frequently, therefore applications posted to us may not be received or considered promptly. Should you be making a representation to an application please email this to us.  The licensing team can be contacted at licensing@spelthorne.gov.uk.


Further to the Prime Minister's speech on Tuesday 23 June 2020, the government has issued guidance for working safely during Covid-19 in restaurants, pubs, bars and takeaways. This guidance can be found at:

Mr Johnson also confirmed that restaurants, bars and pubs can re-open from 4 July 2020, provided that these businesses take steps to be Covid Secure as detailed in the guidance.
