Terms and conditions
The Council adopted a Policy on Gifts, Hospitality and Sponsorship in 2012.
The Policy requires both councillors and staff to record on a Register, kept specifically for that purpose, all offers of gifts or hospitality made to them and whether they were accepted or refused.
The Council has an obligation to maintain that Register and make it available to the public. It meets this obligation by publishing the Register on its website on a monthly basis.
The Register of Gifts and Hospitality is maintained by the Head of Corporate Governance.
