Trees are a vital part of the environment. They reduce the amount of air pollution and provide shelter and a source of food for many thousands of insects, mammals and birds. Most noticeably they beautify the landscape. In Spelthorne we are fortunate in having several beautiful open spaces such as Laleham Park, Sunbury Park and Shepperton Manor Park, where the value of trees is obvious.
Spelthorne Tree Wardens are a group of volunteers who plant and maintain trees in our community. If you would like a tree planted for a small donation (£30-35), please get in contact with us.
Spelthorne Tree Wardens are a group of volunteers who plant and maintain trees locally. The National Tree Wardens Scheme was established by the Tree Council after the great storm of 1987 to allow people to play an active roll in conserving and enhancing their local trees and woods.
The group supplies and plants over 150 standard size trees annually. If you would like a tree planted for a small donation (£30-35), please get in touch.
